Meet Amber Gates, NP

Amber Gates, NP has worked in the healthcare field for nearly twenty years, starting as a medical assistant and continuing education as a nurse practitioner. Working in Colorado's busiest Emergency Department in the state as a Registered Nurse for 7 years provided a deep understanding of the physical and emotional trauma of injuries. In 2015, she completed her Master's Degree as Family Nurse Practitioner as well as Adult Geriatric/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She worked in both the primary care as well as urgent care settings for 5 years before returning for Post Graduate training in Psychiatry. Since 2020, at the height of the pandemic, she cared for patients in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings.
As a veteran's wife, she has also helped support veterans with the transition to civil life by providing service connected disability exams and claims
